Erno Laszlo Firmarine Essence Lotion

Hey loves.  I know I’ve been MIA for the past 2 weeks or so, and that’s my own fault.  Seems like I fell into the unmotivated hole lately, but I am going to try and work through it!

A few weeks ago, I received the Erno Laszlo Firmarine Essence Lotion from Influenster (complimentary for reviewing purposes) and thought I would do a quick review today.

I had never tried an essence lotion, so I was pretty excited to give it a run!

The benefits:

This encapsulated oxygen essence gel is a firming formula that merges the benefits of botanical extracts with Spirulina Maxima Extract to lift the skin.
This watery gel-like essence tones, hydrates, and revitalizes the skin. With encapsulated collagen, it boosts skin renewal by penetrating skin cells for long-acting lifting and protects the skin from free radical damage.
Energizing Oxygen Complex, a unique delivery system, allows for Liquid Breathing to boost collagen production.

Spirulina Maxima—a high powered algae extract that boosts skin renewal—is both water-activated and “nano-encapsulated” in this formula

Aloe has been used across centuries and cultures for its proven moisture-giving and soothing properties, especially on dry, sensitive or stressed skin.

It is a nice lightweight gel, which is very slippery when you pump it onto your hand it can just slide right off so try and get it on your face ASAP lol.  One pump is enough to cover my entire face and then some on my neck, which is great because this stuff is not cheap by any means…$68 on the Erno Laszlo site.

After cleansing and toning, I apply this essence.  Immediately after applying, it feels extremely hydrating and cooling, which is great for summer and after a day in the sun!  I like to use a patting motion to “push” the gel into my skin like I do with serums.  I like to let it sit for about a minute to dry down, and then use my serums and moisturizer.  I also mainly like to use this at night since I use so many different products in the morning before makeup, its just one more thing to have to use, but I have used it before makeup and it doesn’t affect anything.

After using this product everyday for the past three weeks, I do feel like my skin is plumper feeling and 10x more hydrated.  Honestly I didn’t notice any “lifting” or anything but at this point in my life I don’t really have anything that needs lifting (except maybe the booty lol)  Overall, it’s a nice addition to have in my skincare routine and even better that I got it for free, but I’m not 100% sure I would shell out almost $70 for this.

Have any of you guys tried this or anything from Erno Laszlo?
